Introduction

My name is Zaroga Goff and this is my Nook.  I'm interested in many things.  First is my pal, Annabelle, a dog that was dumped at our house.  Some of her pages may load slowly because of pictures, but I tried to make it as few as possible and as small as possible.  Annabelle's Photo Album

Fixn' Vittles is my recipe collection.  Some are family hand-me-downs and some are my very own concoctions.

Genealogy Gems is a collection of genealogy themed poems and quotes that I enjoy.

The past few years I have developed an interest in photography.  My husband, Frank, has always had an interest in photography and really loves black & white photography.  The photographs found under this heading are not the best in some cases.  Some were "captured" from a video camera.  I now have a Sony Cybershot DSC-F717.  I'm trying to learn how to use it and hopefully there will be some fantastic photographs to post in the future.  Some of the photographs found at this page are of birds, butterflies, and scenery of trips.

I like poetry and at this page are only a few poems, but the collection will grow.

My collection of quotes has grown to six pages.  They are organized alphabetically by author.

At this time there is only one story.  It is authored by our daughter, Sonja.  She wrote the story when she was about eleven years old.  We won't tell you how old she is now <g>

Genealogy is a passion of mine.  I like working on other's genealogy as much as my own.  I find it enjoyable to go into court houses and look through books that weigh about 20 lbs.  Genealogy seems to be my way of learning about American History.  I didn't do well in school with history.  I always had trouble remembering the dates.   A link to our surnames can be found at: Goff - Stubbs Genealogy along with family photographs and documents.

My parents were both born and raised in Turner County Georgia.  I host a web site for genealogy research for this county at: Turner County Georgia Genealogy .

I like to read old newspapers.  I'm in the process of abstracting articles from old newspapers.  My hopes are to find genealogical information that will help me in my research and other's research as a well as a story or two to go with the names and dates.

I have come to the conclusion that if all else fails "laugh and the mistakes won't seem as bad". Here are some fun links.....
